Eliza Corporation Completes Acquisition of Sprigley

Sprigley's Recommendation Engine and Social Networking Capabilities Now Fully-Integrated into Eliza's Multi-Modal, Rules-Driven Engagement Platform

Beverly, Mass..—October 13, 2009—Eliza Corporation, the leading provider of integrated healthcare communication strategies, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Sprigley, developer of a multi-channel recommendation engine and social networking platform designed specifically for use in the healthcare industry.

The acquisition and subsequent software integration combines  Eliza's multi-modal outreach capabilities – including its patented interactive, automated calls—interaction design expertise, and analytic platform with Sprigley's Web 2.0 capabilities, including a personal recommendation engine and Web-based platform.

Under the terms of the acquisition, Eliza retained Sprigley co-founder Joshua Rosenthal, Ph.D., as the company's product engagement guru, where he now oversees the development of Eliza's data-driven approaches and programs for consumer engagement around health.
